Duowein Development Foundation
About Us
Duowein is a village in Northern Liberia approximately 70 miles northeast of Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County.
The village is locked in a virgin rain forest where there is no vehicle access to the village.
The village and surrounding villages, which has a population of about 1000 people and 100 households, has no basic amenities like clinics/hospitals or schools.

Duowein Development Foundation strives to provide comprehensive services that will meet a range of needs expressed by the Duowein community.
We have created a 4-phased program built around the community, not the community built around our programs.
The first phase of our programs will include
-
Help build the roads to the villages: Without roads, everything is an ordeal for the villagers
-
Help build a Boarding School: There are no schools in the surrounding areas
-
Help build a Medical Clinic: There are no medical clinics in the surrounding areas.
The core of our programs is education because we believe that when we reduce the barriers to education we raise healthier children and, ultimately, adults with greater economic prospects. This belief is the foundation of our dynamic programs.
It takes a team to see a dream becomes reality.
